Alena Wertalik

As a former competitive equestrian, Alena grew up with an interest in challenging her mind and body, and an appreciation for the rewards of disciplined training. Alena has been studying yoga asana and philosophy for 15 years and is an E-RYT500. Over the last 12 years she has taught yoga both nationally and internationally, led over 30 teacher trainings in both the Vinyasa and Traditional Hot practices, and has had the opportunity to study under the guidance of several renowned teachers. Alena is currently pursuing her Juris Doctorate at Brooklyn Law School. Like teaching yoga, she sees the practice of law as more than a profession - it is a tool to serve people through the ability to advocate for others and to be part of something that is bigger than herself individually.

Quenton Lindstrom

Quenton is a RYT500 and Pilates certified, as well as certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist. He places special importance on corrective exercise and injury prevention, and during his 20+ year career has had the pleasure of working with a huge range of people from elite level athletes to rehabilitating patients in therapeutic settings. During his 15 years of competing nationally and internationally in combat sports, Quenton practiced yoga as a way to enhance his mobility and has continued to develop his practice ever since.

Rose Erin Vaughan

Dr. Rose Erin Vaughan, DAc, E-RYT500 is an experienced Acupuncturist and innovative Yoga Teacher specializing in Myofascial Trigger Point and the Science of Meridians. For 20 years, she has worked in a variety of settings including integrative medicine, sports medicine, and classical Yoga. Her primary interest is how the emotions and mental states affect pain patterns, aging, disease and overall well-being. Using the ancient science of Meridians combined with the techniques of Hatha Yoga, she has developed a new approach to opening and healing for all levels. For the past several years, she has led 200-hr Yoga teacher training programs, Self-healing technique certifications, physical and energy anatomy trainings and has taught worldwide including Europe and Asia. She is dedicated to understanding and addressing the physical and emotional ailments of our modern culture and empowering other with this knowledge. She holds a BS in Cell Biology from Wake Forest University, an MS in Acupuncture and a Doctor of Acupuncture Degree. Rose Erin combines her knowledge of science with her devotion to yoga, embodied anatomy, and herbal medicine.

Melissa Soong

Melissa Soong is a Science of Self Yoga teacher, trainer, and MYT Program Director. In addition to teaching yoga, she is a senior Meridian Yoga Technique (MYT) practitioner, which combines the energetic body maps of East Asian Medicine with the yogic system to address stress patterns through asana, acupressure, concentration and meditation techniques, cupping, and more. With a focus on community healing, she has a masters degree in Social Work and is an AcuDetox Specialist / Registered Trainer for ear acupuncture (NADA protocol). She has experience working with communities that experience homelessness, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness, and more. Forever a student of these practices, she is eternally grateful to her teachers and mentors who share the vision of making it accessible to all.

Dr. Kathryn Ahuja

Kathryn is an RYT200 and has been teaching yoga across the country since 2007. She has instructed thousands of students and been on staff in over three dozen yoga teacher trainings. It is in teaching teachers that Kathryn found her calling. She loves helping others to not only see the light within themselves, but also share it with others. Her passion for the healing power of movement and exercise led her to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York Medical College. Kathryn is a certified specialist in pelvic floor rehabilitation, helping people manage issues related to bladder, bowel, and sexual health. Her online wellness coaching business helps people prepare for birth and heal during the early postpartum period.
